Dr. Hansraj Sheth

Dr. Sheth earned his medical degree from NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in 1984. After completing his residency in general surgery from KM School of Postgraduate Medicine and Research in Ahmedabad, India, he went to further training in England.

In the United States, he was a research associate in the Department of Surgery - Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx New York.  He then became a burn fellow at Jacobi Hospital, part of Montefiore Medical Center.

He completed his general surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey.  As part of the graduating class of 2003, Dr. Sheth was awarded the Charles Zukakus Award which is given to the surgical resident who has demonstrated precision, thoroughness, and meticulous attention to the care of patients. 

Dr. Sheth has been practicing at Putnam Hospital, Carmel New York since 2005.  Dr. Sheth is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Since 2014 Dr. Sheth has been a qualified da Vinci robotic surgeon.  Along with his extensive experience in general, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, he strives to use these skills to deliver exceptional, personalized care to each and every patient.  Dr. Sheth has served as the chairman of the Department of Surgery at Putnam Hospital, Carmel, NY. Currently, he is a vice president of medical staff and chairman of the credential committee for the last several years.  He has had a successful private practice for over 20 years in Carmel, New York, and is proud to serve his community.
